Legal Help for Veterans Resources
TL;DR What You Need to Know
  • VA does not provide legal help - but they can direct you to resources that do
  • Veterans Justice Outreach - connects you with legal clinics and community resources
  • Free legal services exist - VA Medical Legal Partnerships offer pro-bono assistance
  • Multiple non-VA resources - ABA, Stateside Legal, VetLex, and others offer veteran-specific help

Being a Veteran can bring with it certain... baggage that may make the need for legal help more likely than our civilian counterparts.

While the federal government and by extension the VA, does NOT directly provide legal help/advice - the VA has services that are aimed to get Veterans directed to services which can help!
